The Cherry Blossom Festival

This post is long overdue and I apologize in advance for that. A few weeks back in one of my favorite cities I finally decided to be a true tourist and go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in our nation’s Capital. I have loved living in D.C these past four years and I have truly regretted not seeing more of the touristy places within the city. Well I finally got to witness this amazing site, The Cherry Blossoms! Me, Candace and Vic made our way in the 75 degree weather and took as many pictures as we possibly could.I think this is the part of D.C that I will miss the most, the sites. Being able to easily hop on the metro and go downtown to these Historic places. But I’m glad I have the pictures, because they hold my memories and remind me that I can always go back to the city I love whenever I like.

A New Year, The Next Chapter; don't forget your shoes

I don't think I've accepted the fact that today is NYE. 2014 has been an extraordinary year for me. I had the glorious opportunity to travel throughout Europe and live in the wonderful city of Barcelona for 4 months where I met some incredible and unforgettable people. January through May was definitely life changing; I'll never be the same again. I also had the pleasure of having two of my family members graduate this year. Aaron, (my older brother) graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in engineering. Alex (my younger brother) just recently graduated from recruit training and is officially a U.S Marine. Sweet! In September I was able to work with DC Modern Luxury and continue to enhance my passion for writing while learning more about the world of print journalism and magazine. 2014 introduced new chapters in my life, not to mention the new memories I have made with the people that I love most. Regrets, laughter, tears and overwhelming joy, whatever it may have been I'm thankful that God has allowed me to complete another year under His unfailing grace. Now folks, I know I am not the only one who procrastinates. If you still don't have an outfit for tonight, here's a little inspiration for you! Remember, don't forget your shoes lol.

"I'll wait for you under the Mistletoe"

Since this night had to be one of the most memorable nights of my senior year, I decided to share it with you guys. My best friend, Candace and I attended the Founder’s Day Ball at my school our freshman year and decided that since this was our last year we should attend another; The Mistletoe Ball. Dressing up and being around my friends is always something that I enjoy doing, so I was all in when we (Candace, Victoria, Isa and Me) decided we were going. The journey to Mistletoe was a rocky one though. First, we thought we were cute enough to get dates, guess not. Just kidding the tickets actually sold out shortly after we purchased ours. Second, poor Isa didn’t make the cut, and up until the day of the ball she was not attending, but miraculously a ticket showed up. The four of us glammed ourselves up for the night and set out to the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel (super fancy!) in Dupont. Now if I told you each and every experience of this night, this post would never end, so I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
